You Tube

You tube is a great way to view and share digital videos over the internet. You tube is open to public so it is a fantastic resource to have at our finger tips. You tube offers Teacher tube which is the teachers version, this site has extensive amounts of educational videos available that match to core curriculum standards. The only down side i see with these websites are the explicit material the students can be exposed to, thats why teacher's must use this digital tool under strict supervision.

The following You tube clip is one i thought could be useful in my future classroom content as it is a great example of educationally sound video as it links to the PE core curriculum strands.

  1. Hi Kym,

Great ideas on using youtube. Youtube has endless opportunities. It could be used to model what you would like students to do. There are so many good instructional videos, such as a video on how to make anzac biscuits as I have seen this in my prep class what a great alternate resource to engage the students within the classroom context.Youtubes can also be used as a hook at the beginning of a lesson or unit as this was my intended purpose when creating putting up my youtube.
