iMovie and Movie maker

The publication above was made by a friend and fellow CQU student(Jordy) and I think it is a perfect example of what movie maker can create.

I tried to use movie maker myself but was unsuccessful when it came to adding it to my blog(something to do with the mac software). iMovie is a easy tool to navigate around as it has a free tutorial at the beginning to watch and the layout out of the program allows for easy access to gadgets such as adding video, pictures,music, voice recorder,and other creative keys.

Benefits of having iMovie or movie maker in the classroom:

• Great ICT learning tool for students to demonstrate their creativity.
• Students would become more familiar with ICT technologies.
• Caters for audio and visual and kinaesthetic learners.
• Great for film and television students.
• Students have another digital tool at their disposal.

Downside of having iMovie or movie maker in the classroom:

• Can be time consuming.
• Need to have constant access to the internet and computers.
• Students need to be aware of all the copyright laws.
